The NAEYC accredited preschool is a place where we nurture our students in a supportive environment based on each child's individual needs. Students are encouraged and challenged in a manner that develops a love of learning today and into the future. Established in 1979 as an early childhood program, we offer two types of programs for children. Our traditional pre-Kindergarten classrooms have a mixed ages of 3 & 4 year olds, which feed into our traditional Kindergarten classrooms for 5 year olds, and the second option is our Montessori classroom which has children who are 3, 4, and 5 years old.
The curriculum in our preschool is academic-based in a playful manner. Children learn while playing academic games and creative games. They learn to read on an individual basis working alongside the teacher on their specific level. Along with our basic curriculum, the students enjoy and learn in several enrichment classes, including music, art, STEM, German, library, and Kindergarten students go to PE daily. All students play outdoors daily, weather permitting, or have indoor play giving them the opportunity to enhance their small and large motor skills.
